Transport to and from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport

Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport is located about 12-14 km away from Pendik district and 50 km away from Taksim, in Istanbul. There are many options of transportation from SAW airport:

 

Train/Rail

Pendik’s railway station is the rail connection from Sabiha Gökçen Airport. It is located about 14 km far away from the airport. To arrive there you can pick up a taxi or a sea-taxi. It’s planned a future connection via the rail transportation project Marmaray.

 

→ Currently and according to an announcement by Turkish Railways Authority, Haydarpaşa-Pendik-Haydarpaşa trains are stopped for a 24 month period. Check the official website to make sure that the service is provided.

 

Metro

You can take a taxi or a bus to arrive to the metro station at Kartal. Line M4 is being extended and in the next years is going to arrive to SAW airport.

 

Shuttle Bus

Sabiha Gökçen Airport departs shuttle buses which serves Kadikoy and Taksim areas.
